Hi everyone. Come to the June retreat at Malvern and see how your life will change. I lost 30 pounds since the last retreat and my friend's mother wanted to just learn how to eat healthy. This is not about food or buying stuff. It's about prayer and this is my favorite part of the retreat.

Hi Anne! This blog is a great idea!
Light Weigh is not the worlds way! How sweet that this is God's idea for our successful weight loss and peace with food! What a blessing it is to spend time with Suzanne, up close and personal, to glean what it is that you need to finally, lose that weight! If you pardon the analogy, this Light Weigh retreat is like icing on the cake of the Program itself! Six years ago I started Light Weigh and lost 100 pounds. I hope you know who gets the credit for that...lol...it's not me!! I could never do this alone! Thank you God and thank you Suzanne!! Jackie

Hello Precious Ones!
Am I ever looking forward to saying that to each of you at the Malvern Retreat this June!!! We are going to have a wonderful time. When I wrote The Light Weigh ten years ago, I built the boat that freed me. I started Light Weigh after the birth of my sixth child. I had failed at every other diet I had tried for years. “Thin” for me used to be size 18 jeans, now I wear size 6 jeans. If anyone had told me I would ever be able to say that – I think I would have burst into tears because I never believed, short of a miracle, that it would have ever been possible for me. The Light Weigh for me has been a miracle that I have participated in. I was the weakest willed person I knew, and I really mean that. I used food for every emotion and every difficulty I faced. I felt that food controlled me. God, led me to write The Light Weigh. But it was not enough for me to research and write Light Weigh, I then had to do it myself! I had to learn to set myself aside in so many ways besides food, for this program to come into being. I set my life aside and gave God everything I had, at a time when I already thought I was giving Him everything I had. I was only able to do it by His grace and by connecting to the deep truths found in Light Weigh. The fruit of Light Weigh has been truly amazing and I am humbled by it. Light Weigh has helped people to lose weight, maintain their weight, get off anti-depressants, get their blood sugars in the right range, give up alcohol, quit smoking, avoid panic attacks, stop biting their nails, overcome anorexia and bulimia, cope with gastric bypass surgery, learn the value of suffering in our daily lives and cope with loss and grieving. I lost 47 pounds, my husband lost 50, our children use Light Weigh eating; Light Weigh has been wonderful for our whole family and thousands of others. Just in my own life – I thank God for Light Weigh and then when I continually see how much it does for people I am doubly thankful. Light Weigh impacts both sides of the spiritual realm. Light Weigh helps you get it right on this side, while you store up treasure on the next side.

Light Weigh retreats are totally unique and there is always such a euphoria there. People say time after time – “It’s the best retreat I’ve ever been to!” “This has changed my life!” “This is the best money I’ve ever spent.” “I’m actually not exhausted leaving here. I have energy!” At every Light Weigh retreat, with the help of God, I try to build a well; a well that is filled with love, faith, truth and hope. I hope to see you there if you can make it to Pennsylvania. We are going to start a diet revolution!

Love,
Suzanne

I know I speak for many people when I say I am looking forward to this retreat. I pray the Holy Spirit will descend into each of our hearts and prepare us to experience the freedom of God in the area of attachment to food, to strengthen and refresh those already walking in that freedom. May the Holy Spirit fill Suzanne and her family and bless them for their giving.

I really loved my first retreat at Malvern with the Light Weigh group. It was very fortifying and I feel strengthened to go out and continue my work in Christ doing the Light Weigh. Not to mention it was a delight and blessing to personally meet Suzanne and feel her encouragement. My prayers will be with all the other Light Weigh members and visitors who came out in faith to this retreat. God bless you abundantly.

I am still enjoying the "afterglow" of the Light Weigh Retreat. I have two comments. First, Malvern is a beautiful environment for a retreat. Since they have given so many for so many years, they really know the needs of a retreatant and strive to really provide what each person needs so that they can have a personal encounter with the Lord. I want to thank Malvern for that.
Secondly, I can't say enough about the Light Weigh. More particular, the Fowler Family. Although the Lord has obviously used Suzanne as a main vehicle, it is obvious to me that she has taught her family well, and that the prayers and sacrifices of this whole family is a vehicle of tremendous grace for every participant. I could literally feel that in prayer. I am truly grateful and still feel the grace. Of course, this is a gift from our dear Lord! Thank you, Jesus! Imagine if we all pray and sacrifice and follow this "little way" what an IMPACT we will have on our dear holy mother Church! Let's DO IT!!!!! :-)

Oh yeah~ for those wondering, "Yes, but does the program work? Are you losing weight?" The answer is yes! I have lost a few pounds already!

As a returned Catholic who is seeing so much that is heartbreaking about our church, the biggest blessing about The Light Weight is Suzanne herself. What an ancouragement she is to us all about what being "a real Catholic" means, about knowing Jesus as your best friend, about living out our Lord's divine design, not only concerning food, but in all areas of our lives. She is setting an example for all of us by letting her light shine so brightly in all areas of her life. Thank you.
